Join Geoff and Club 4×4 for an iconic trip through the Alpine National Park.

Location:Alpine NP
Location and/or Description of Trip (Itinerary):

Let's get away for the Cup Weekend and explore the beautiful Victorian High Country.

- We'll camp at Muttonwood campsite on Friday night
- Saturday will be a quick drive up to Dingo Hill Tk, Caledonia River Tk to Butcher Country Tk. Most likely camp at the top end of Butcher Country Tk Sat night
- Sunday we'll go down into the Wonnangatta Valley, visit the ruins of the old homestead and maybe do the Hearn Spur Tk/Wombat Range Tk loop
- Monday we'll go across to Eaglevale Campground
- Tuesday do an early run up Billy Goats Tk (leave camp at 8:15am to beat the usual long weekend hoards)

Note that the itinerary will probably change depending on the track conditions.

- Food and water for 3 and a half days in the high country
- Fuel to cover around 350km (last fuel in Heyfield, Longwarry)
- AT tyres or better (> 50% tread)
- 2" lift
- Snorkel would be good but not required
