Forget the footy and join Geoff, Clint and Club 4x4 for an amazing trip on the AFL Grand Final long weekend around Big Desert State Park and Wyperfeld NP with an optional trip along the iconic Border Track.

We'll meet at OTIT Campground on the Thursday night.

The plan is to run two Trips one around Big Desert, one doing a tour of Big Desert State Park while the other group will continue on and do the iconic Border Track. Friday we'll try and pass by White Springs and checkout the Lookout and Track.

We'll camp together at Blue Gums on Friday night and then split off into two groups and go our separate ways. Then joining up at the next Club Meeting to share our experiences.

Border Track group:

Saturday morning Clint will lead a trip along the Border Track camping at Red Bluff on Saturday night. Heading back to Melbourne on the Sunday.

You will need to pay for a vehicle entry fee to the Ngarkat Conservation Park for the Saturday.

Big Desert group:

Saturday morning Geoff will lead a Trip that will be a tour around the Big Desert State Park, doing a loop through Red Gums, tackling the Coburns Tk/Thompson's Hill loop and having a crack at the Big Dune loop.

Food, water and fuel for 3 days Desert driving, about 350-450km in total. Last fuel is available in Warracknabeal or Hopetoun (24hr, Diesel and ULP91).

We will do a communal dinner on Friday night, I will provide details once we have bookings.
