Location and/or Description of Trip (Itinerary): | A very difficult adventure tackling the hardest bits I can find in the HC. Departing Friday night, we will camp near Licola and then on Saturday take a leisurely stroll up Bull Plain Road to the base of Grimme Creek Track - which apparently, is not for the faint of heart. We will then head south down Blue Plains Spur to the bottom of Butcher Country track and then decend down to do Calendonia River Track before making our way across King Billy Track to camp at Lovicks Hut. On Sunday, we will again take a leisurely stroll south down Cairn Creek Track, then up Nobs Track before making our way across to Mt Skene to take on the infamous Barkly River Jeep Track. We will then head out via Jamieson and Mansfield for home. |
