First night we will make our way to the Buckland River road on the Friday night. Most convenient camping will be at Clear Creek camp ground but there are plenty of options a bit further up if we won’t fit.
Saturday morning we climb Paddy Hill track up to the ranges. We will make our way across until dropping down Gunns Track and briefly onto Great Alpine Road before turning off Dargo High Plains rd and onto Blue Rag. After Blue rag we descend the Basalt Knob track. Note: If wet we will not do the last part of this extremely steep track and we will bypass using roads. This is the part that makes the trip "very difficult".
Once at the bottom we will follow Crooked River track as far as time and enthusiasm permits. There are several campsites along the way and at the end.
On Sunday day will we head up the iconic Billy Goats Bluff to join Moroka road to Licola. Again, depending on time & interest there are several options for more tracks between BGB & Licola.
