Exploration around Cathedral Range and Rubicon – Sat 23rd Nov 2024

Join Ledri and Club 4×4 for a Trip starting from Marysville and winding through Cathedral Range State park then through to the Marysville State Forest.
The historic area includes a wooden trestle bridge along with the original power station built in the 1920s.
The trip will try to follow Trek#13 of the 4wd treks close to Melbourne. The trek distance is 70+kms on mostly dirt road. It should be easy in dry conditions for 4wd and Awd vehicles. Medium in wet conditions for 4wd only.

Club Xmas Party – Sun 1st Dec 2024

The Club will be holding our Xmas Party on Sunday 1st December at the Murrindindi Scenic Reserve.

It will be a great time with some awesome food and some games will also be organised. You can camp on the Friday/Saturday night as well (details in the trip notice).

Looking forward to seeing all Members and Prospective Members there.

Deddick Track Take 3 – 26th – 30th Dec 2024

This trip is a take 3 of the snowy river region trip. At Christmas, The Deddick trail was impassable due to high rivers and sections of the track had been closed due to fallen trees.

Then at Easter, parks had closed it to repair the tracks. So let’s go for number 3.

Thursday December 26th 2024
Melbourne to Jacksons Crossing

Friday 27th December 2024
Today we’ll head east from Jacksons Crossing across the Snowy River to Varneys Tk. Next we’ll head up to the Yalamy Rd and down the iconic Deddick Trail to McKillops Bridge. Camping near by at the little river camp site.

Saturday 28th December 2024
Heading for a campsite on the way to Mount Pininbar stopping at a few sight seeing opportunities. (waterfalls and if time permits Rams horn)

Sunday 29th December 2024
We will head up mount Gibbo and mount pinnabar finding a camp somewhere on the other side.

Monday 30th December
Head home.

The Carp Classic – Take II (Labour Day Weekend 2025)

Join Linda and Mat on a relaxing long weekend for the Carp Classic – Take II.

The fish will surely be on the bite, so let’s see who reels in the carp and takes home the coveted prizes.
This trip is about the coming together of members, so fish or no fish it will be a blast like last time.
New and prospective members encouraged to come along.

The weather will be warm and it’s a great place to be for the long weekend.
Caravans, camper trailers and pets welcome.
