Join Patrick and Club 4×4 when they travel to Tambo Crossing to drive the Haunted Stream track for the first time in 2 years. Closed in 2015, this area of the High Country has been eagerly anticipated to re-open.
Itinerary
Depending upon which group you select, the trip will commence at Tambo Crossing on Saturday morning. The early group will head up on Friday night and camp at Tambo Crossing; whilst the late group will also head up on Friday night, but stay at Bairnsdale Caravan Park. The trip will be run as two groups, around 30 mins apart, but doing the same tracks. On Saturday, the groups will tackle the Haunted Stream track to Dawson City. On Sunday, the groups will venture into Dargo and head home.

| Location and/or Description of Trip (Itinerary): | We'll be going from Tambo Crossing to Dargo taking in some of the best tracks in the Victorian high country including Haunted Stream. Due to the size of the group we'll be running two trips, one group meeting at Longwarry Service Station at 5pm on 26 May and the later group meeting there at 7pm. Earlier group camping at Tambo Crossing and second group can camp at Bairnsdale Caravan Park (please make your own bookings) and join at Tambo Crossing on 27 May at 8:30am where the trip will start. We will follow the Haunted Stream Track on Saturday camping at/near Dawson City campsite. The trip will head to Dargo on the Sunday and finish at lunch time around 1pm. Patrick and Geoff A to lead the first 6 vehicles and Steve Walker and Bruce H the second group of 6 vehicles with a 12 vehicle maximum trip count. We're planning a communal dinner on Saturday night. Trip Leaders will provide details once we have bookings confirmed. |
