| Location and/or Description of Trip (Itinerary): | Join Jose in this is “Parallel” trip to the “Little Desert National Park” trip that Geoff will lead on the same dates. The two trips will be kept separate to accommodate COVID-19 restrictions. Social distancing will be maintained during the drive and also at the campsites. We'll be concentrating on the Eastern and central Blocks visiting the pinkish Salt Lake and a few other sights around the park. Camping Friday Night will be at Horseshoe Bend Campsite at the North Eastern end of the Park. You need to book your camping online with parks Vic. Cost is $13.50 for a single site that can hold 6 people. There is also additional camping at the Ackle Bend Campsite just down the road if Horseshoe Bend fills up. Link for booking Camping: https://www.parks.vic.gov.au/bookings/place/camping-in-little-desert-national-park Saturday night we will be bush camping at Stans camp in the north part of the Central Block. Sunday we'll drive through some parts of the Central Block, visit Sister Hills and do a quick run along the south side of the park. The trip starts at Horseshoe Bend Campsite so please make your own plans for getting there on Friday. This will allow those who can leave early to meet us at camp. This trip is Off-road Camper Trailer friendly, if you wish to bring a camper please make sure that it is Off-road capable and has rated recovery points on the rear. Please let the Trip Leader know if you are bringing a camper trailer along when you make your booking. If we are still under camping restrictions then the trip will be closed once we reach 20 people or 10 vehicles (whichever comes first). |

Note that chainsaws are NOT allowed to be used in the Little Desert National Park. |
