Location and/or Description of Trip (Itinerary): | We'll travel through the Eastern and Central blocks of the Little Desert National Park. Lots to see in the Desert at that time of year. Early Sept should have some good weather and the sand wont be too soft. Camping on Saturday night will be at Red Gum Swamp, no booking is required. |

Brief directions to meeting point: | We'll meet at the Caravan Park and stay Friday Night, the drive is about 4hrs from Melbourne. We can do a convoy from Melbourne if people are leaving at a similar time. I'll be leaving from the CBD/North Melbourne. Western Freeway to Horsham then to Natimuk. The caravan park is about 4kms north of Natimuk on the Eastern side of Lake Natimuk. Any specific requirements? | Water, food and fuel for two days in the desert as there is none where we are going. We will only be doing about 200kms of driving from Natimuk through the desert and back to Natimuk (most of this is sand driving). Recovery gear appropriate for sand driving: Warm clothes as it can get very cold at night. |
