Location: | Alpine National Park |
Location and/or Description of Trip (Itinerary): | Staying at Running Creek camp on Friday, we will head south toward the slate mine on Mitchell’s track and then into Mitchell Flat for lunch before heading along Mt Sunday road toward the hut. On Sunday, we will head up Refrigerator Gap to Bluff Hut and then Bindaree Falls and depending upon time, decide whether we head up Monument Track and then Mt Stirling or simply settle for lunch in Mansfield. |

Any specific requirements? | Recovery gear and rated recovery points as per the club rules. All terrain or mud tyres a must due to the steep and loose terrain and a snorkel for the crossing into to the Hut. There will be facilities at the campsite. Please bring enough food, water, camping equipment and fuel for 2 full days of driving in the High Country. Weather in the High Country can change quickly, so please check the weather and dress appropriately. |
