4WD Victoria MVO Track Access

4WD Victoria MVO Track Access

These tracks are designated ‘Management Vehicles Only’ and are not open to the general public. There are a total of 1433 MVO tracks on the list provided by Parks Victoria so access is not provided to all of them. However 4WD Victoria and affiliated clubs have been granted permission to access 381 MVO Tracks by Parks Victoria.

What do I need to do to access MVO tracks as part of a 4WD Club trip?

  1. Plan the trip and find out which MVO tracks you would like traverse (see attached MVO Track List).
  2. Complete the Track Access Application and Emergency Plan Check List attached to this document. Please note that it is important that you fill in the trip participant list. This list can be updated closer to the trip, but needs to be filled in to ensure the application can be processed.
  3. Submit the Track Access Application and Emergency Plan Check List to the Projects & Events Manager, Four Wheel Drive Victoria, PO Box 1015G, North Balwyn, VIC, 3104.

The final say on whether you will be granted access to the tracks on your application form lies with the Head Ranger at the park where you are requesting access. Parks Victoria do not give a time frame for the application form to be processed so give them plenty of time. Planning early will give you the best chance of getting your permit approved in time.
