Wombat State Forest tour – March 2019
Join Club 4×4 and Mark on a tour around Wombat State Forest.
This is the take two after the first trip had to be cancelled.
Track notes:
Potter Tk – We turned around because it just stopped!
Ottie Tk (North not on HEMA is on Vic Topo and Meridian maps) – We turned around, the track had rock steps to go down that where about a foot or two tall, and some very deep ruts, more than we were setup for!
Ottie Tk (To the east to Lerderderg Rd) – Large tree across the road, the ‘chicken track’ around it is certainly interesting!
Most of the other roads where either good gravel roads or clay / rock with some rutting, easy to stradle the ruts in the dry, in the wet would be a different story! Although most tracks are seasonally closed!
