Location and/or Description of Trip (Itinerary):

A leisurely trip to the High Country, approaching Australia Day!
We will meet on Friday 21st Jan at our usual meeting spot and head to camp at Huggetts Crossing for the night.
On Saturday we will head to Millers Hut (via Old Moroka Rd) on the other side of Mt Wellington, visiting a few places along the way (Moroka Hut, Pinnacles). If time permits and willing, we’ll drive up to the Sentinels for sunset.
Now here comes the twist! On Sunday, I’m planning to do the walk to Lake Tali Karng and cross it off my bucket list :-). It is a fairly difficult walk (8km return), but very doable in a day. We will stay another night at Millers Hut campsite so you can just chill out for the day if not keen for the walk. The campsite is very nice!
On Monday we’ll head to the Avon region and do a few tracks (Hickey, Burgoyne, etc.) before camping at either Hickey Creek or MacAlister.
Tuesday we’ll track towards the Thomson Dam, via a few good tracks, where the trip will end.
