The search for Snow – July 2017

Join Geoff and Club 4×4 for a day trip up to Mt Matlock on the search for some early season snow.

The weather looks cold and wet for mid next week, lets go and see if we can find some snow. Mt Matlock is the current location but if there is better snow elsewhere we’ll change the location.

Itinerary

There is a short 4WD track up to the summit of Mt Matlock (it is easy but just letting you know). We might go for a short drive north of Mt Matlock to have lunch before returning home in the early afternoon.

If anyone is interested we might stop at the Buxton Hotel on the way home for an early dinner.

Brief directions to meeting point:

Take one of the many roads out to Healesville. If you're coming from the north then going out through Kangaroo Ground and Yarra Glen is probably the best while for others further south then going via the Maroondah Hwy will be best.

We'll send a link in the Trip Confirmation email.
