| Location and/or Description of Trip (Itinerary): | ** Note ** Subject to track closures being lifted on Melbourne Cup weekend as usual. Friday (optional): Travel via Myrtleford to Dandongadale then Dandongadale-Buffalo Divide Track & Abbeyard -Lake Cobbler Tk to Lake Cobbler for lunch. Back to one of the camping areas on the Buffalo River (TBC) via Abbeyard-Lake Cobbler Track. People who can't join the trip for this day could make their own way here to arrive in the evening. Saturday: From Dandongadale we'll take SEC Tk & Goldie Spur Tk, with spectacular views of the southern face of Mt Buffalo & The Horn, and towards Mt Feathertop. Then Yarrabuck Tk, Buffalo Range Tk & Selwyn Tk to Mt Selwyn (Vic) (altitude ~ 1400m) then Mt Selwyn Rd to the Buckland Valley and one of its many picturesque campsites overnight.
