Come join Mark to send off August in Big Desert and find out how thirsty a PK Ranger really is in the sand!

Day 1 - Friday (Not a public holiday so you may need to take a day off or call in sick!)
We will start at Wonga Camping Area **Booking Required if you are coming up Thursday night** (Wyperfeld National Park - Visitor Information Center) Friday morning before heading east over James Barrett Nature Dr before turning north up North South Track, then west on Eagle Track, heading towards Snow Drift, we will likely stay around Snow Drift and check out the Lookouts in the area.

Day 2 - Saturday
We will make a break for Big Billy Campground, the tracks and detours will depend on time on the day.

Day 3 - Sunday
If we didn't get time on Saturday we will head for the small dune near Big Billy and have a crack at climbing it, before heading South to cross Chinaman Well Track, from there depending on time we can either head for Lake Albacutya and Hopetoun to finish the trip or head straight out to Jeparit on the way to Dimboola.

From Hopetoun head west down Hopetoun-Yaapeet Rd, follow the road around to the North, the road will lead you directly to Wonga Campground

Any specific requirements?

- Wonga Campground may require a booking - If Parks get their booking systems back online! (Maybe up to $16.40)

- Air compressor and tyre gauge
- MaxTrax or equivalent (if you have them)
- Shovel
- Enough fuel for 3 day’s sand driving
- Drinking water for 3 days
- Front and Rear rated recovery points
- Snatch strap
- Tyre Repair kit
- All Terrain or Mud Terrain tyres
- We will aim for a campground with toilets every night, but be prepared in case we end up at a campground without toilets
